Visa types for Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka admits foreign visitors through an electronic travel authorisation system. This authorisation, known as the ETA, is required of Azerbaijani citizens too and is obtained online.

From May 2026 the country began issuing the tourist authorisation free of charge to citizens of 40 states, but Azerbaijan is not on that list. Our citizens therefore pay the standard fee.

The application is made through the official portal and a reply usually comes within one to three working days. The tourist authorisation allows a stay of up to 30 days and permits two entries. At the border, six months of remaining passport validity, return tickets and proof of accommodation may be checked. Viza.az fills in the form and brings the documents into line with the requirements.
