Every figure on this site — a visa fee, a length of stay, a document list — comes from somewhere. This page names those sources so you can check them yourself.
How we verify
The rule is simple: the final answer always follows an official source — the embassy, the consulate, the immigration service or the country’s own visa portal. Market sites, aggregators and forums are read only for direction; outdated numbers linger on them for years and we never cite them.
Fees move. Some follow a yearly schedule — Australian fees rise every July — and some change without notice, so we periodically re-check the fee sections against the source. One such review in September 2026 went through 214 fee claims and corrected four errors: the Schengen fee had been written as €90 (for Azerbaijani citizens it is €35), the child exemption was given as age 6 (the agreement exempts children under 12), and the British and Australian figures had gone stale.
Outbound links get their own audit: 347 unique links were checked, eight dead addresses were fixed and six domains that had shut down entirely were replaced with their current official addresses.
Azerbaijani authorities
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs — the official list of countries Azerbaijani citizens may enter without a visa, and the bilateral agreements behind it.
- State Migration Service — residence permits, registration and migration rules.
- ASAN Visa — the electronic visa portal for travellers coming to Azerbaijan.
- State Customs Committee — currency and goods allowances at the border.
European Union and Schengen
- European Commission, DG Home Affairs — Schengen visa rules, the 90/180 calculation and border procedures.
- Visa Code (810/2009) — the general legal basis of the Schengen visa.
- EU–Azerbaijan visa facilitation agreement — in force since 1 September 2014. The €35 fee quoted on this site, and the exemption for children under 12, rest on Article 6 of that agreement; the €90 figure applies to countries without one.
National visa portals
- travel.state.gov — US Department of State, visa categories and fees.
- immi.homeaffairs.gov.au — Australian Department of Home Affairs.
- indianvisaonline.gov.in — India’s official e-visa portal.
- evisa.gov.vn — Vietnamese e-visa.
- thaievisa.go.th — Thailand’s official e-visa system.
- evisa.rop.gov.om — Royal Oman Police, e-visa.
- eta.gov.lk — Sri Lanka ETA.
- ica.gov.sg — Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority.
- immigration.govt.nz — Immigration New Zealand.
- evisa.imigrasi.go.id — Indonesian e-visa.
- en.nia.gov.cn — China’s National Immigration Administration.
Embassies and consulates
Document lists for Schengen and other visa-requiring countries are taken from the Baku embassy of that country, or from the visa centre that serves it. The ones we rely on most: United States, Japan, China, Poland, Czechia, Spain and France.
If you spot a mistake
Visa rules change often and something can slip past us. If you find an outdated or wrong figure on the site, write to us — we will check it against the source and correct it. An error on the Georgia page was fixed exactly that way in September 2026.
A note: the links on this page lead to third-party sites and we are not responsible for their content. Official bodies may change their pages without notice, so checking the source once more before you apply is always the safer move.
