Visa types for South Africa

Azerbaijani citizens must obtain a visa in advance to travel to South Africa. The country does not apply visa-free entry or a visa on arrival to holders of our passports.

The application goes through a consulate and personal attendance may be required. As there is no direct mission in Azerbaijan, the route for the application has to be settled in advance. This is the most important step in planning.

The document file is larger than standard: passport, application form, photo, return tickets, proof of accommodation, bank statement, a letter from your employer and medical insurance. Those travelling with children are separately asked for the international form of the birth certificate. This rule is specific to South Africa and is often overlooked. Viza.az prepares the full list in advance.
