Azerbaijani citizens can travel to Russia without a visa. Under the bilateral agreement you may stay for a total of up to 90 days within a calendar year on an ordinary passport. The limit is counted as the sum of separate trips.

Migration registration must be completed within 7 working days of entering the country; registering late can lead to a fine. At Moscow airports, biometric data is taken from visa-free arrivals; electronic notification at least 72 hours before the trip through the «Госуслуги RuID» app is running as a voluntary experiment until the end of 2027 and is recommended. Work and study require a separate permit.
