Visa types for Brazil

A visa must be obtained in advance to travel to Brazil on an Azerbaijani passport. Unlike a number of Latin American states, Brazil does not grant our citizens visa-free entry, and the e-visa option is open only to a limited set of countries.

Applications are accepted through the consular section of the Brazilian embassy in Baku. The embassy is in the Marine Plaza business centre on Uzeyir Hajibeyov Street, and consular hours run in the first half of the working day. The VIVIS tourist category allows a stay of up to 90 days.

The file includes a passport, an application form, a photo, return tickets, proof of accommodation and a bank statement showing your funds. A decision usually takes two to three weeks, so it is sensible to apply at least a month before the trip. Viza.az takes part in collecting and translating the documents and submitting them to the consulate.

Applications are accepted at the consular section of the Brazilian embassy in Baku. The embassy is in the Marine Plaza business centre on Uzeyir Hajibeyov Street.

A decision is usually given within two to three weeks. The period stretches if something is missing from the document file or if additional checks are required.

The tourism category usually gives the right to stay up to 90 days. The exact period is set by the migration service with the stamp it puts in your passport on entry.

A passport, a completed application form, a photo, return tickets, proof of accommodation and a bank letter showing your financial means make up the core list. Additional documents may be requested depending on the purpose of the trip.

If you are planning to travel to certain Amazon regions, a vaccination certificate is recommended. For travellers arriving in transit from some countries this document can be compulsory — we confirm this in advance according to your route.

Our service fee is 95 AZN. The consular fee is not included in this amount and is paid directly to the embassy.

No, the consular fee is charged for processing the application and is not refunded whatever the outcome. That is why we pay particular attention to the initial check of the document file.
