Azerbaijani citizens are not covered by Australia’s electronic authorisation schemes, so a full visitor visa — Subclass 600 — is required for the trip.

The application goes through the official online system, ImmiAccount. You fill in the form, upload the documents electronically and pay the fee by card. From 1 July 2026 the base fee for applicants outside Australia rose to 250 Australian dollars.

A visitor visa is usually issued with a right to stay of three, six or twelve months, depending on the case the applicant makes. Processing times vary a lot by season, so it is sensible to apply at least two months before the trip. In some cases a medical examination and biometrics may be required.
