Turkan Valizada

I am Turkan Valizada — study abroad manager at viza.az and the person who writes this blog.

What I do

My days are spent with people who want to study abroad: explaining which documents are required, filling in the form together, booking the consular appointment, pointing out in advance the places that tend to cause a refusal.

Why I write about this

I took my master’s degree abroad. That means I went through the student visa process for myself first — gathering the papers, preparing the bank statement, sitting the interview. Afterwards I started walking the same road with other people. What I write here comes from that: not general advice copied out of a book, but the details you only see from inside the process.

Experience is still not a reason to trust memory. Every figure I publish — a fee, a processing time, a document list — is checked against an official source, and we name those sources on a page of their own.

What I cannot tell you

I am not a lawyer. Nobody can guarantee a visa — not me, not anyone else; the decision belongs to the consulate alone. My job is to prepare the documents so that no reason for refusal is left on the table, and to make sure you know what is expected at each stage before you get there.
